About Us

How it all started

The love of cooking and baking started with sisters Tammi and Jennifer's dream of sharing friends and family recipes with the community. Both have deep family roots of good southern cooking and baking. The sisters learned a lot from their dad as he was a great cook and would often bake three-tiered birthday cakes throughout their childhood, but their real love for baking and cooking came later in life as they started hosting family functions and started to collect recipes from family and friends that became favorite staple recipes.  After 12 years of managing restaurants for contracted properties in Nashville through their family business, owned by Tammi's husband, Randy, it was the inevitable that they would share these recipes in their own place someday.  As they embarked on this new family venture, our then family business lost two very important people not only in their business but as family members, Joe, a husband to Jennifer, and Father to Trey and Truleigh, and Megan, a daughter to Tammi and Randy and sister to Michael.

This new business venture is now dedicated and in memory of

Joseph Allen Paty, II

2/23/1969-9/8/2021

and

Megan Elizabeth Dyce

2/19/1990-9/13/2021

They are deeply missed and thought of daily until we meet them again.

In July of 2022 the home of “Truleigh Scrumptious” was found and construction began shortly thereafter. After several obstacles during construction we were FINALLY ready and had our grand opening on  May 18, 2023.

WHERE DID THE NAME COME FROM?

The name comes from the Musical movie entitled “Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang”. Sally Anne Howes aka “Truly Scrumptious”, is one of the main characters that plays along side Dick Van Dyke! Jennifer & Joe’s daughter “Truleigh” was named after her.  After the decision to begin this journey, Randy woke up one morning and said let’s call it “Truleigh Scrumptious”!  (Yes, this really did happen!)

 Everyone loved it of course!

The family is honored to share their story with you, and even more excited to share their love of cooking and baking with the community.
