About Us

 The love of cooking and baking started with sisters Tammi and Jennifer's dream of sharing friends and family recipes with the community. Both have deep family roots of good southern cooking and baking. The sisters learned a lot from their dad as he was a great cook and would often bake three-tiered birthday cakes throughout their childhood. Tammi, Jennifer and their husbands Randy and Joe set out in search for a building in 2021. After several attempts, the family did not have luck in the area they are searching for.  This put the cafe on the back burner and then Covid hit.

As covid was on the rise, it grabbed the family in ways they never expected.

In Sept. 2021, their lives changed forever, not only once but twice.  

On Sept. 8th, 2021, Jennifer’s husband Joe passed away.

On Sept. 13th, 2021, Randy and Tammi lost their beautiful daughter, Megan.  

There are no words to describe the devastation the family has suffered over the last year and a half.  It has only been by the grace of God, their faith, family, friends, and their church family that they were able to keep going.  

They know that Joe & Megan would have wanted them to continue in their journey.  

 They decided as a family they would move forward with Truleigh Scrumptious.

The family knew it would not be easy doing this without them but, are excited to move forward in celebration, of them.

Finally, in July of 2022 the home of “Truleigh Scrumptious” was found!  

Where did the name come from, you ask? The name comes from the Musical movie entitled “Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang”. Sally Anne Howes aka “Truly Scrumptious”, is one of the main characters that plays along side Dick Van Dyke! Jennifer & Joe’s daughter “Truleigh” was named after her.  After the decision to begin this journey, Randy woke up one morning and said let’s call it “Truleigh Scrumptious”!

 Everyone loved it of course!
